New role created to align the People & Culture and Operations teams
NEW YORK (February 6, 2020) — Convene, the leading provider of premium meeting, event, and flexible workplace solutions, announced today the promotion of Amy Pooser to Global Chief Operating and Chief People Officer. She previously held the title of Chief People Officer.
With her promotion and expanded role, Pooser will lead the People & Culture team as well as the Global Operations team, totaling more than 500 people. Her focus will be on initiatives that drive Convene employee and customer experience. Aligning employee and customer experience under one strategic leader gives Pooser the ability to focus on initiatives that drive employee engagement, which will ultimately drive a consistent and dynamic customer experience across the global Convene portfolio. Convene’s staff has grown from approximately 650 to nearly 800 people since Pooser joined the company in January 2018.

In addition to Pooser’s role as Chief People Officer, she is the CEO and founder of New Fashioned, a consulting, advisory, and leadership search company that benefits notable PE/VC-backed growth companies and their boards. She is also a board member and the Chief People Officer of ProductLab, LLC and Sand Hill Pharma. Pooser is also part of the founding team and a former executive at athenahealth (ATHN), which is one of the most successful SaaS companies in healthcare.
