Hydra Studios Opens First Location with Convene at RXR’s 530 Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan
May 15, 2019 (New York, NY) – Convene, the leading partner for commercial landlords in managing premium meeting and workplace solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with Hydra Studios, a network of elevated wellness spaces that provide a place for members to workout, shower, nap, meditate, and more. Hydra Studios’ first location with Convene will open at their new Midtown location at RXR’s 530 Fifth Ave in June 2019. Please see renderings here.
As part of Convene’s broader commitment to best-in-class health and wellness offerings, Hydra Studios will offer members of Convene WorkPlace (the company’s flexible office and coworking space) and their guests access to onsite wellness spaces, including a fitness studio with Peloton bikes; yoga and HIIT classes led by NYC’s top instructors; luxury rainfall showers and steam rooms; beauty bars and grooming stations; and private bookable suites for naps and meditation. Hydra Studios’ mission is to become a second home base for the always-on, modern professional, and by providing onsite fitness programming and wellness amenities, Hydra Studios makes it easier for Convene members to incorporate wellbeing into their daily lives.
“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Hydra Studios to bring Convene’s WorkPlace members a premium health and wellness experience,” says Ryan Simonetti, CEO and co-founder, Convene Ryan Simonetti. “A 9-5 job is no longer the norm, so it’s become increasingly difficult for today’s workforce to carve out time to make physical and mental health a priority. Convene is committed to providing wellness offerings to our members so they can regain that self-care time during the workday, which supports productivity and overall quality of life at work.”
“Hydra Studios is passionate about improving workplace wellness and we’re excited to provide our curated offering to Convene’s forward-thinking members,” says Marie Kloor, CEO and co-founder, Hydra Studios. “Workplace wellness is no longer a luxury, it’s an essential, and both Hydra Studios and Convene have similar missions to bring premium amenities that fit all lifestyles and reimagine the workplace.”
Convene is bringing together a versatile combination of amenities and service offerings in Class A office buildings to provide a best-in-class ecosystem for building tenants and guests. With flexible meeting, event, and work spaces, health and wellness amenities, premium hospitality offerings, exclusive deals and perks, and access to new events and communities, Convene is the go-to partner for landlords looking to amenitize their buildings.
Following Convene’s $152M Series D funding round in 2018, the company plans to grow its footprint globally and expand strategic partnerships and service offerings. Recently, Convene announced partnerships with New Stand to provide elevated convenience store offerings at several Convene locations and with Eden Health to provide on-site healthcare and medical services to Convene members. New Stand and Eden Health will also be part of the Convene WorkPlace experience at 530 Fifth Ave.
By the end of 2019, Convene will have 30 locations across six markets, totaling 1,500,000 square feet of space.
