Originally constructed in 1972, One Liberty Plaza is one of the city’s first skyscrapers and an iconic figure of the New York City skyline. This property is in the heart of the Financial District and carries serious lower Manhattan history as the former U.S. Steel Building. Convene’s One Liberty Plaza location celebrates this history through design and offers beautiful, premium, and fully integrated spaces to host unforgettable events, meetings, and workdays.

The space is outfitted with floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing guests to enjoy views of the surrounding neighborhood and landmarks. The Design

Each Convene property has its own unique look that tells a story of the building’s neighborhood, history, people, and essence. Our design teams call this the “property’s design narrative." For Convene at One Liberty Plaza, our team designed the property with steel in mind to create sleek spaces that juxtapose dark and light, strong formations and structures with openness and possibility, and range of warm and cool colors to breathe life into each floor.

From thoughtfully selected furniture and carpet to the colors on the walls, and positioning of the lights, Convene at One Liberty Plaza transports you to a beautiful, multi-purpose space that feels like a step into the future.

Convene One Liberty Plaza spans across three floors:

Floor one is the welcome space, also known as “Formation.”

Floor two is for meetings and events, better known as the “Connection” floor.

Floor three is for our Workplace clients, or as we call it - the “Assembly floor.

The Space

Located right on Cortlandt Street in the Financial District, Convene at One Liberty Plaza is triangulated between the World Trade Center, Wall Street and the Seaport, thus guests enjoy access to all major subway lines, the Path, as well as the Ferry. The location itself boasts over 90,000 square feet of amenitized space across two floors, with best-in-class service and technology to host remarkable meetings and events, as well as workdays.

For meetings and events, the second-floor offers 15,000 sq-ft across five meeting spaces, which can accommodate intimate gatherings of up to 14 guests to conferences, town halls, or mini exhibitions for up to 400. Built with human-centered design, this venue has wrap-around views, is flooded with natural light, and has flexible configurations to accommodate trainings, product launches, board meetings, and more.

Convene’s WorkPlace space, features 19 worksuites, 342 work stations, and 25 meeting rooms. This floor has ample communal space and reservable meeting rooms for an upscale work environment that’s designed to maximize comfort, productivity and collaboration. Worksuites and meeting rooms are equipped with hybrid-ready meeting technology to host interactive and collaborative working sessions with clients and team members, to connect to remote attendees with the click of a button.

All of the commons spaces in One Liberty Plaza have an assortment of light and dark seating, steel-inspired lighting fixtures, and black accent walls with metal-inspired artwork to continue celebrating the building’s history - and to provide a fresh, modern space for relaxing and unwinding.

And when it’s time to refuel and recharge, Nourish Stations are located throughout, serving unlimited snacks, refreshments, and beverages all day, along with the option to access our farm-to-table culinary offerings from our Executive Chef.
