Yes, our generous Employee Referral Program allows current Convene employees to professionally vouch for referrals and kick off the application process for individuals wishing to apply.

Though we hope to expand our capabilities in the future, Convene is not able to sponsor work Visas at this time. We are also not able to transfer existing visas from your current employer to Convene.

At Convene, one of our recruiting team’s main goals is to match prospective candidates with roles that best suit their experience. We suggest applying for roles that are most aligned with your background in addition to providing a resume that speaks to concrete examples of this experience.

Yes, our Employee Referral Program allows Convene employees to start the process for you. If they can professionally vouch for you, please be sure to have your Convene contact formally submit your resume through our referral system.

Yes, although we do request that you only apply for open positions that are closely aligned with your background and experience.

We are pleased that you are interested in rejoining us. As long as you are eligible for rehire, you are encouraged to apply for the desired role and note that you have previously worked with us when asked. If contacted by one of our recruiters, you will be expected to participate in the same interview process as other applicants.

While we would love to engage with everyone personally, our team is only able to speak with applicants whose background is closely aligned with the requirements for each role. If you are selected for an interview, a recruiter will reach out to you and outline the next steps in our process. In the event we do not move forward with your application this time around, you may be contacted about other opportunities that align with your profile in the future.

  1. Recruiter Screen
    Informational conversation between candidate and recruiter to discuss Convene, role-specific details, company culture, and to get a general assessment from the candidate of their overall skillset.
  2. Hiring Manager Screen
    Hiring Manager is responsible for digging into specific skills/experience, providing the candidate with a detailed overview of the team and day-to-day, as well as KPIs, goals, challenges, etc.
  3. Assessment*
    Depending on the role, there might be a technical assessment, a case study, or a project before the rest of the team interviews the candidate.
    *This is not required of all positions
  4. Interview Panel
    Opportunity for candidates to meet with multiple cross-functional members and for interviewers to collect as much data as possible about the candidate’s abilities and competencies based on the scope of the role.
  5. Offer
    Once the interview panel has come to a decision, candidates and their recruiter(s) will regroup to discuss offer details. Recruiter will provide constructive feedback to all candidates in process if the offer was extended to another person.

We highly suggest familiarizing yourself with our company, values, and mission in addition to the requirements of the role prior to your interview. During your interview, we suggest speaking to concrete examples of your skills, experience, and interests so your interviewer can understand what value you may bring to the team.

We believe it’s important for you to always be and dress as your genuine self. With that said, you will find most of our employees dressing somewhere between Smart Casual and Business Casual.

Each interview process is unique and designed by the individual hiring manager to be able to identify the best talent for their team. The role you are applying and interviewing for will determine when and where this interview will take place. All remote corporate roles will have video interviews while some property positions may require you to come onsite to interview. Your individual recruiter will outline this process for you when interviews kick off.

We encourage you to reach out to your recruiter so they are able to either provide you with the contact details of your interviewer(s) or share your note directly with the hiring manager.

Your recruiter will be able to help you understand the specific timeline for the opening you've applied and interviewed for. As each process is different and unique to that role, there is no set timeline though we do our best to move things along as quickly as possible!

Yes. While we wish things always worked out the first time around, we support and encourage you to apply for new opportunities as they come up. Our recruiters are here to provide you with constructive feedback about your past interviews in an effort that may help you land your next role with us.

Joining Convene

Your recruiter and new team will be in direct communication with you prior to your first day of work with us. You should expect to receive a variety of emails that include information about next steps, equipment, and a specially designed onboarding plan for your first two weeks with us.

We are here to make sure that you are in the best position possible to thrive in your new role by providing you with the support, education, training, and development necessary. Convene has a dedicated Learning & Development team that will help make your onboarding experience as enjoyable, informative, and seamless as possible. Our New Hire Orientation and general onboarding consists of a combination of live learning sessions, on-the-job training, 1:1 coaching, and virtual education modules.

Every role is different here at Convene but if your specific business involves the use of some sort of equipment that employees need to do their job – then this equipment, such as a laptop, is generally provided by Convene.

During each stage of the interview process, you should expect to receive feedback from our team but once the interview process has wrapped up, you will receive a candidate survey where we ask you how you found the process so we can improve it for future applicants.
